IndependantTM is a 24/7 telecare assistance service from Yorkshire Ambulance Service and delivered by leading national telecare provider Welbeing from its dedicated contact centre.

About the contact centre

Welbeing’s specially trained team respond to calls from its state-of-the-art UK contact centre and can arrange the most appropriate help in a wide variety of situations.

Team members come from all walks of life but have one thing in common; a caring approach to ensuring you or your loved ones receive the help you need during an incident, an accident or an emergency.

The Welbeing team are available 24 hours-a-day, seven days-a-week and will do all they can to help when you push your pendant, whether that is calling the police, notifying your nominated keyholders or linking you in to Yorkshire Ambulance Service’s 999 or NHS 111 teams for urgent or emergency healthcare.

IndependantTM does not replace calls to NHS 111 or 999, but if you need either service and you can’t get to the phone, the Welbeing team can put you in touch through your base unit.

Welbeing is accredited to the highest telecare industry standard – TSA Platinum – and also ISO 9001 Quality Management so you can be reassured you’ll receive a high quality service.

In addition, Welbeing is vetted and approved by Trading Standards and is a proud member of the Buy with Confidence scheme, ensuring that it operates in a legal, honest and fair way.
